SACRED PROFITS: GEP Solutions Tied to Alleged MCGI Money Laundering Scheme

Updated: Aug 8

SINGAPORE — No less than a co-founder of Singapore-based IT firm GEP Solutions has come forward with explosive allegations that the company served as a front for money laundering operations benefiting the Members Church of God International (MCGI).

In a live broadcast aired on August 2, 2025, whistleblower Mr. Lorenz Buizon also known as Dok Jay Lorenz, a former SAP Consultant and head of marketing at GEP, laid out what he described as years of financial misconduct, visa fraud, and diversion of funds under the direction of Robert Navoa, the company’s director and a senior MCGI officer in Singapore.

“GEP was never just an IT firm,” Buizon said in his Facebook livestream. “It was built to funnel money to the church and mask illicit financial flows.”

A Company With No Office, and Millions in Revenue

Founded under the guise of a productivity software and app development firm, GEP Solutions began with modest earnings of SGD 2,500 but rapidly expanded to contracts worth SGD 400,000 at its peak. Among its clients was StarHub, a major Singaporean telecom, a deal that raised eyebrows given GEP’s lack of a registered physical office.

Buizon claimed that the entire staff, including himself, worked illegal double jobs, a violation of Singapore’s labor laws. The firm’s success, he said, was less about tech and more about creating a channel to financially support MCGI’s Singapore operations.

Employment Passes for Church Officials

Lorenz also revealed that GEP was used to secure Employment Passes for top MCGI officials, including current leader Kuya Daniel Razon, under the guise of employment at the company. These work permits, he alleges, were not for actual IT roles but to enable religious work within Singapore without proper disclosure.

$20,000 Cash Transported to Brazil

Perhaps the most damning revelation was Lorenz Buizon's account of being ordered to hand-carry $20,000 USD in cash from GEP revenues directly to the late Bro. Eli Soriano, MCGI’s former leader, in Brazil.

It was all cash, and I personally delivered it to Bro. Eli. The old man was so happy. Lorenz said.

Following this transaction, Soriano reportedly pushed to replicate GEP’s model in Brazil. A branch was registered under Sheru Abulencia, the wife of MCGI worker Noel Abulencia, who had previously been seen working as a butler at Salut Restaurant, a business linked to Soriano that served alcohol despite the church’s public opposition to such practices.

Plans for Expansion and Internal Disputes

Encouraged by the scheme’s success, senior MCGI ministers including Bro. Josel Mallari of North America, proposed similar expansions in Canada, Australia, and the Philippines.

However, tensions rose when Navoa insisted that all global remittances be routed through GEP’s Singapore “headquarters.” Buizon said the directive signaled a shift from the company’s original purpose toward a centralized money pipeline, triggering his eventual fallout with Navoa.

Alleged Misuse of Company and Church Funds

Buizon alleged that after securing control, Robert Navoa appointed his wife, Monet Navoa, as GEP’s Treasurer and absentee auditor, enabling fraudulent financial activities without oversight.

Among the incidents he cited:

  • A SGD 30,000 pledge for smartphones for MCGI ministers was charged to GEP but later reimbursed using church donations essentially double-charging the organization.

  • A similar scheme was reported involving a car loan, with GEP fronting the funds and MCGI Singapore reimbursing the cost from collected offerings.

“These are church collections being used to cover fraudulent reimbursements,” Lorenz emphasized.

Calls for Investigation

The revelations have sparked online discussions among former members and critics of MCGI, who are now calling for regulatory scrutiny from Singapore’s Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority (ACRA) and international financial watchdogs.

Legal experts say the allegations, if proven, may constitute violations of Singapore’s Companies Act, anti-money laundering statutes, and immigration laws related to fraudulent visa issuance.

As of press time, neither GEP Solutions, Robert Navoa, nor MCGI leadership have issued a public response.

Lavish Purchases Add Fuel to Corruption Allegations

In a follow-up statement, Lorenz Buizon who identified himself as a co-founder of GEP Solutions, further alleged that company director Robert Navoa had used GEP-linked funds to finance a lavish personal lifestyle thereby raising deeper concerns about fund misappropriation.

Buizon claimed that Navoa reportedly owns a high-end television worth ₱400,000 (approx. SGD 9,000) and resides in a posh condominium located in one of Singapore’s elite neighborhoods.

These purchases, he says, were made during the height of GEP’s revenue flow at a time when the company was still publicly framed as a support mechanism for church operations.

“While we were told GEP was for the benefit of the Church, Robert was living large,” Buizon said.

The new claims reinforce earlier calls for a forensic audit of GEP Solutions, and may open the door to potential asset tracing investigations by Singaporean financial regulators. Critics say these revelations point not just to internal misconduct, but to a systemic culture of financial impunity within church-linked business entities.

As of this writing, Robert Navoa has yet to respond to these latest allegations.

GEP Solutions Quietly Dissolved

Further investigation reveals that GEP Solutions is no longer operational. The company’s official website has gone offline, and its LinkedIn and Facebook pages have not been updated since 2020. Public records indicate that the company has since been dissolved, though no formal closure statement was issued.

This timeline aligns with whistleblower Mr. Lorenz Buizon claims that the company’s original mission had been abandoned, and that internal conflicts and alleged financial misconduct ultimately led to its collapse. The digital silence and lack of public accountability surrounding GEP’s dissolution add to growing concerns about missing funds, unfulfilled obligations, and the absence of a formal audit or public financial disclosure.
