Theme: Public Health First. No One is Above the Law.
We're calling on all civic-minded individuals to join our Mass Email Campaign and demand urgent action against the illegal sale and distribution of FDA-flagged products within religious institutions.
Concerned Products (All FDA-BANNED):
BES Canned Sardines
HW Hydrogenated Water
Arlene Shampoo
All are still being discreetly sold despite FDA warnings within MCGI Locale Chapters.
Key Issues:
Public health risks: carcinogens, BPA, phthalates, botulism
No BIR-registered receipts = suspected tax evasion
Illegally marketed through parcels and online shops
Religious groups are NOT exempt from FDA compliance or taxation under PH law
We URGE these agencies and platforms to ACT:
FDA, DOH, DTI, BIR, DICT, NBI Cybercrime Division
J&T, LBC, Ninja Van, Flash Express, 2GO, JRS, AP Cargo
Shopee, Lazada, TikTok Shop
These platforms must enforce the Internet Transactions Act (RA 11967) and prevent the circulation of banned products.
What You Can Do:
Send an email to info@fda.gov.ph and other concerned agencies.
Use our email template below or write your own civic appeal.
Share this call on your networks.

Email Body:
Dear Public Health and Consumer Protection Authorities,
I am writing as a concerned citizen to respectfully call your attention to the continued sale and distribution of FDA-flagged unregistered products within closed religious communities, notably among members of the Members Church of God International (MCGI).
Despite being officially banned for non-compliance and lack of registration, the following products are reportedly still being sold or distributed through internal networks and discreet channels:
BES Canned Sardines (Tomato Sauce)
FDA Advisory No. 2024-1231
HW Hydrogenated Water (1000ml)
FDA Advisory No. 2024-1255
Arlene Shampoo
FDA Advisory No. 2023-0810
These products are reportedly sold without BIR-registered official receipts, raising concern over possible tax evasion and unlawful business practices under:
NIRC Sections 236 & 237 (Registration and Official Receipts)
RA 9711 (FDA Act)
RA 7394 (Consumer Act)
RA 11967 (Internet Transactions Act)
Additionally, there is concern that some of these products are being sold via parcel services and online shops—violating the Internet Transactions Act, which prohibits the sale and shipment of non-FDA-compliant goods.
This reference news article further illustrates the ongoing concern:
We urge your good offices to:
Investigate the continued distribution of these products.
Audit sales channels and tax compliance where applicable.
Coordinate with e-commerce platforms and courier companies (Shopee, Lazada, TikTok, J&T, LBC, Ninja Van, 2GO, AP Cargo, JRS) to enforce takedowns and shipment bans.
Issue a public update or follow-up warning to protect consumers.
No organization should be allowed to endanger public health or operate beyond the bounds of the law—religious or not.
Thank you for your time and commitment to safeguarding the public interest.
Sincerely,
[Your Full Name]
